GN round 6, Rye House ST, 17.09.2011

Aidan Collins won his second UK title in succession and in great style by winning the last round of the Pozzani Grand National Flat Track uk Championship, run under floodlights at Rye House Speedway stadium on Saturday evening. Collins, who has been on fantastic form all season, controlled the final from start to finish, taking his 4th win of the season and winning the Championship by 24 points from runner up Tom Woolley. Tom had a battle with Suzuki's Tim Neave, with the pair swapping places for the first couple of laps, then Pidcock's Honda rider Tom held on to second until lap 8, when Tim drove underneath him and regained second place, which he held on to the end. Glyn Pocklington got a fine 4th spot after a race long dice with his Hemet4u.com Team mate Ben Baker. Pete Boast managed 6th spot after getting past Jacopo Monti on lap 5, who went on to crash out of 7th place on the last lap handing it to Darren Trapmore and rounding out the top 8 was Mini bike champ Mark Richardson.
